Parkinson’s Association of San Diego (“PASD”) proudly presents its 2018 “Knock-Out” Parkinson’s Gala. PASD offers critical resources to an estimated 60,000 individuals who have or are affected by Parkinson’s disease in San Diego County. Services provided by PASD include information and resource identification, awareness and communication, support, education and training and other Parkinson’s disease service-based programs.

The Knock-Out Gala will feature keynote speaker, Ms. Rasheda Ali. Ms. Ali is an internationally known Author, Speaker, and PD Advocate who wrote, I’ll Hold Your Hand So You Won’t Fall: A Child’s Guide to Parkinson’s Disease, inspired by her children and her father, Muhammad Ali, who suffered from Parkinson’s disease.

On December 1st, 2017 the Parkinson’s Association of San Diego, in conjunction with its partners and sponsors, held a full day of presentations, education, and exhibits about Parkinson’s disease. Over 300 people attended and evaluations indicate that it was a tremendous success! Photos and over four and a half hours of incredible presentations on 14 different topics with Powerpoints are now available!
Parkinson’s Association of San Diego Launches New “Good Start Program”
The Parkinson’s Association of San Diego is initiating a new “Good Start Program”, a comprehensive educational seminar designed for recently diagnosed patients and their care partners. These 2-hour sessions include a 90-minute presentation followed by Q&A. They will feature speakers providing Parkinson’s patient, care partner and health care professional perspectives.
Seminar Date: Monday, April 16 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Location: Wellness Center, Tri-City Medical Center, 6250 El Camino Real in Carlsbad.
Parking: Free parking on-site.
