You Are Invited!
The first meeting of the UCSD Parkinson’s Support Group will be held September 21st, 12:30 – 2:30, at the Sanford Consortium for Regenerative Medicine. The UCSD Parkinson’s Support Group is a spin-off of, and a sister group to the long standing Mission Valley Parkinson’s Support Group. (The Mission Valley Group will continue to meet as it always has on the 1st Wednesday of the month.) You are welcome to attend either of these groups – Mission Valley or UCSD – or BOTH! You do NOT need to be a patient at UCSD to attend. Everyone is welcome. Your association with the Mission Valley Group means you’ll receive all of the emails from both groups.
Just like the Mission Valley Group, the UCSD Group is specifically structured for People with Parkinson’s and their Care Partners. The Group provides an opportunity to learn from your peers, get questions answered, discuss symptoms and medication options, share resources, and learn from people who have first hand experience.
September 21st is the inaugural meeting.
Subsequently this group will meet every month on the 3rd Thursday of the month.
12:30 – 2:30 pm
A special welcome to everyone from the Mission Valley Group. Anyone from the San Diego area Parkinson’s community is also welcome to attend.

Parking and disabled access
There are 21 “handicapped” spaces within easy, unobstructed, flat walking distance to the front door of the building. There will be plenty of regular parking for no-charge. Follow the signage in the parking area. The meeting room (1013A/1013B) is on the entry level of the building and doesn’t require you use stairs or elevator.
There is a comfortable lobby on the 1st floor (entry level) immediately outside the meeting room with chairs and table. Rest rooms are located here too. On the 2nd floor (external stairs or elevator in the lobby) there is an outstanding café with simple breakfast and lunch items and a view of the ocean.
