There are exercise programs throughout the community that specialize in exercises for or meet the needs of people with Parkinson’s, so get started today! Simple Movement – A Dance Program for Parkinson’s
People with Parkinson’s can benefit greatly from dance. It provides exercise, mental stimulation, conscious use of the senses and social interaction in a joyful activity. It incorporates exercise with music, assisting participants in moving to rhythm, beat, melody and mood. *Classes are held at:

Classes are designed to accommodate participants at all levels of mobility (seated, needing support, ambulatory), with dancers encouraged to engage at their own comfort level. Dance for Parkinson’s is an opportunity for people with Parkinson’s to take part in one of the latest exercise programs recommended for improved mobility. Spouses and care partners are welcomed and are encouraged to participate. While there is a cost to the series of classes, we are offering the first class at no charge. If you’re not sure if Dance Practice for Parkinson’s is right for you, come try your first class for free! *$64 for 8 week session (sliding scale available).
