Overview
The Parkinson’s San Diego Research Fund has been established to support World Class Parkinson’s research programs.
San Diego is one of the world-wide epicenters in Parkinson’s research. PASD is actively partnering with San Diego based Parkinson’s research organizations like the Salk Institute, Sanford Burnham Medical Research, the Scripps Research Institute and UCSD. These organizations are working to find the cure for Parkinson’s. The Parkinson’s San Diego Research Fund was established to facilitate collaborative efforts in the fight against Parkinson’s. The fund is reviewing these efforts and will support the most promising research in areas such as:
• Molecular Biology
• Drug Research
• Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells
• Genetic Research
• Sleep Disorders
• Cognitive Studies
• Gene Therapy, and many more
Since our incorporation in 1989, the Parkinson’s Association of San Diego has supported both local and national research programs.
Through our relationship with American Parkinson’s Disease Association (APDA), PASD has invested significant resources to nationwide programs through our Parkinson’s National Research Fund.
The cure from Parkinson’s will come from these labs. Your support of the Parkinson’s San Diego Research Fund and the Parkinson’s National Research Fund will help facilitate the cure!
