Okay, so you’ve read all of the latest and greatest on the importance of exercise. You know all about the benefits of forced exercise. You know Tai Chi can probably help your balance and help prevent falls. But, you’re still not participating.
Spring is approaching and there is no better time than now to start an exercise program you enjoy. Enjoyment is the key, because if it is not fun for you, you probably will not stick with it long term.
Spend the weekend deciding what you are going to do to get active. Maybe you’ll start small by playing Wii with your grandchildren. Perhaps, if you’re lucky enough to live here in San Diego, you’ll take a walk around the block with a pal (two-footed or four-footed), or spend a little time in the sand at the beach. Look into aquatics classes that can give you all the benefits of many aerobic activities without the fall risk. Make this weekend the catalyst for a year full of activity.
