Parkinson’s Association of San Diego (“PASD”) proudly presented its 2018 “Knock-Out” Parkinson’s Gala.
A HUGE thank you to all who contributed to the success of the “Knock-Out” Parkinson’s gala on Saturday, October 6 at the Birch Aquarium in La Jolla. The event was an overwhelming success. Keynote speaker Rasheda Ali gave an inspiring presentation to the overflow crowd of over 330 attendees.
CBS Channel 8 News Anchor Carlo Cecchetto, emceed the evening that included tributes to Dr. Dee Silver for a Lifetime Achievement and several other San Diego Parkinson’s Community leaders. The live and silent auctions added to the excitement of the evening.
A special note of thanks to the many sponsors and donors who supported the event.
PASD offers critical resources to an estimated 60,000 individuals who have or are affected by Parkinson’s disease in San Diego. Services provided by PASD include information and resource identification, awareness and communication, support, education and training and other Parkinson’s disease service-based programs.

The Knock-Out Gala will feature keynote speaker, Ms. Rasheda Ali.
Ms. Ali is an internationally known Author, Speaker, and PD Advocate who wrote, I’ll Hold Your Hand So You Won’t Fall: A Child’s Guide to Parkinson’s Disease, inspired by her children and her father, Muhammad Ali, who suffered from Parkinson’s disease.
