Elizabeth Torres
Dr. Liz Torres is a Board-Certified Clinical Psychologist with decades of experience working with people through major milestones across the lifespan.
After her training at Harvard Medical School and McLean Hospital in Boston, she launched her career combining clinical practice and teaching. As Harvard faculty member for 20 years, she supervised and trained professionals in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness, while also maintaining a thriving private practice.
In 2018, she was happy to return to her home state of California, where she now primarily focuses her work on supporting people living with Parkinson’s disease and those who love them. She works with both individuals and couples to strengthen emotional well-being, resilience, and connection. She practices both in person in Sorrento Valley and online.
She and her husband of nearly 30 years are now empty nesters with three adult children. They enjoy spending their time in nature and taking in all of the wonders of San Diego.
