Of San Diego
As the leading Parkinson’s resource in San Diego County, the association provides information and referral services, education, support groups, evidence-based exercise programs, community events, social opportunities, compassion and encouragement.
All your contributions stays local in San Diego County.
The Parkinson’s Association relies on volunteers to help its one paid staff member accomplish the organization’s mission.
There are numerous ways volunteers can help. Work remotely, represent us in the community, hold a fundraiser, assist at educational and fundraising events, post about us on social media, take photos or videos for the website – there are probably other ways we haven’t even thought of. If you have a skill to share, or just the willingness to help, we welcome you!
Volunteers are needed year round, but the need is especially great around special events, such as the annual 5K Walk, Fighting Parkinson’s Step-by-Step. Whether you can pitch in for a couple of hours a month, several hours a week or just one day for events, come on down!
- You’ll find yourself smiling more
- You may learn a new skill or help us learn one of yours
- You’ll meet wonderful people
- You’ll receive lots of “thank-you”s
